Last week we finally got the keys for our future nook. There's a lot to be done... a lot. I mean, a lot, you have no idea... but we will commit to it and one bite at a time we will get to the end. We spent tuesday cleaning up, the people who where there before us left a pigsty behind, after a whole day spent tidying up it looks like an apartment with some potential :) Most of all we noticed that there are three main things to take care of to make a house a home: cozy, nice, comfy, friendly and all these beautiful adjectives. Light, smell, temperature. In this order. Light: sometimes exposure blesses you, some other times you're less lucky, but in any case when it's dark in the evening light is all on you. White light gives a hospital-feeling, it's way too cold: I never liked the yellow light that much, but after seeing a room lit by white light I saw how sad this one was... really sad!
