Great novels

As you probably already know, I’ve decided to read literature classics, mostly novels.

Because it’s good for my mind and because it’s a form of creative writing class: if these novels survive the years, are timeless masterpieces, there must be a reason, they must have something to teach, right? Therefore I read them and I hope to find out what’s so special :)

To help myself I’ve made a pretty list, to mark out what I’ve already read in my life, and to escape that sense of void that invades me when I’m in a bookshop (I’m like “Ok, let’s buy me some classic… Oh look, two entire walls filled with classic novels… mmh… ok, panic, too much to choose from, I don’t know what to pick, leave it”).

I’ve made a handy-dandy* list divided in two columns “Already read/To read”, here I’ll simply strike the ones I’ve read and I’ll try to have an alphabetical order. I’d have never thought I could have said this but… thank you high school, thank you. (For most of the books, not the alphabet, that was thanx to myself in kindergarten).

This is it, but I’m sure I’ve forgot at least a couple in those I’ve already read and countless in those I still have to read (it really can’t be that I’ve read more than I want to, and I’ll confess that being 27 and still missing out on some of those masterpieces makes me blush a little, but I’m here to catch up!)… any advice?

* Ok, a little ocd-like…

Ti lascio qualche commento/consiglio/domanda sparsi (bella lista!!)
E sei riuscita a finire La peste??

Poi ci penso, sicuramente me ne vengono altri :-)
